About this rate board

Current Mortgage Rates Canada is an independent board. It reads offers people post in the public r/MortgagesCanada mega thread, puts the Bank of Canada decision next to them, and shows the monthly payment gap on a stated mortgage.

The site does not lend, insure, or broker mortgages. The request form passes a lead to a licensed mortgage broker. The broker, not this site, is the person who can quote a rate on a real application.

Numbers on the board are only as good as the comment they came from. A post can omit the lender, the insured status, or a cash-back sweetener. The methodology page says how a row gets onto the board and how the four-hour refresh works.
